Must-Visit Places in Gujarat!

Gujarat- The state in the Northwestern region of India is known for its artistic excellence; from famous shrines and legendary forts to grand palaces to parks. It is the feeling that one gets on visiting this grandeur that allures the visitors in re-visiting again and again. Everything; from temples to popular attractions that it holds off, makes a traveler’s weekend trip worthy. You all might have heard of that one destination that’s just not a destination but the most popular pilgrimage site of the Hindus; the Dwaraka.
If you are planning to visit this place, then we have narrowed down the list of places that are worth a trip starting with;
1. Great Rann of Kutch-
It is the nation’s largest salt marsh, indeed one of the largest salt deserts in the world, located in the Thar Desert of Gujarat that seems to have no ending and looks like a long stretch of wetland that’s a sight to behold. Guess, what’s the dimension of this marsh? You wouldn’t believe, it’s 7502 square kilometers. When you visit here, you will get a glimpse of some fascinating villages and hills surrounding this long swamp of salt.
2. Dwaraka-
Dwaraka is a city in the Northwestern region of Gujarat that was once believed to be the birthplace of Lord Krishna. It is because of this; this place is known as a pilgrimage site and is most- frequently visited by many Hindus. Fact says that the city that was once ruled by Lord Krishna was found underwater. But, this to be a myth or a reality is still unknown. The Dwara temple owns a carved entrance with the black stone idol of Lord Krishna. There is also a lighthouse here known as Dwaraka Lighthouse that is known to offer a great view of the giant Arabian Sea.
3. Patan and Modhera-
Patan and Modhera are two major sites of great cultural heritages depicting the Solanki architecture. In close proximity to Ahmedabad, these two cities can keep you engaged for a day. The Solanki rule in Gujarat is remarked as a golden period rule because it is during this period, many famous architectures were erected. The spectacular part here is the Sun Temple; three different elements aligned centrally to an axis and a stepwell.
Thus, these places should not be missed in a lifetime and to head right away, make your bus ticket bookings to Gujarat in either Sree Patel TravelsSRS or VRL Travels.

From Dwarasamudra to Halebidu- The Temple Town!

“Architecture is a visual art, and the buildings speak for themselves”, goes a renowned saying on ancient architecture. India’s ancient architecture roars high on various artifacts; from temples to minarets to varied heritage sites. Example of one such site which is worth a visit and known for their exquisite craftsmanship is Halebidu; a temple town that is in close proximity to Belur and Chikmagalur.
This town in the Hassan district of Karnataka is considered as the “Jewel of Indian Architecture” that was formerly called as Dwarasamudra, a royal capital of the Hoysala Kingdom. Halebidu got its name, “The Old City” because of the fact that it was ruined twice during the invasion of Kafur. If you are thinking what this temple town can show you, then get mesmerized with the construction of two Hindu temples by soapstone; Hoysaleswara and Kedareswara with a dam, museum and a Jain Basadi.
The Hoysaleswara Temple is a shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva that is constructed on a star-shaped platform during the rule of King Vishnuvardhana and Queen Shantala Devi. Also pronounced as Hoyaleshwara, its construction took nearly 100 years with its walls beautifully and intricately carved with depictions from Hindu mythology. Each sculpture here looks like an antique piece that’s to be adored off.
The Kedareswara Temple is another gem of architecture constructed under the rule of King Ballala II that is also a shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva built in the Chalukyas Style. This temple is now protected as a monument of national importance by the Archaeological Society of India.
Basadi Halli is known for its Jain Monastries. This temple is constructed during the rule of King Vishnuvardhana; though he, being a Vaishnavite, his wife was following Jainism at that time when rulers were encouraging texts, studies, rituals, and architecture. Basadi Halli comprises three main temples dedicated to Jain saint Parshwanathswamy, Adinathswamy and Shanthinathswamy.
Yagachi Dam, unlike the other dams similar in structure, is known for various water sports; Jet Ski, Speed Boat, Bumper Ride and Banana Boat Ride that is conducted here.
Well, a slightly different destination to visit. Rush to ticketgoose.com and book your bus tickets in India’s leading online bus ticketing portal.

Customers need to select their destination, date of travel and by comparing the fares with different operators they will book the ticket. Some of the best operators are YBM TravelsKPN TravelsSRM TravelsOrange Tours & Travelsand much more. Later, they identified that the market is having vast competition then they differentiated themselves by launching new services like Superbus, Hotels, Outstation Taxi and Sportzbus.
Superbus is one of the amazing innovations by TicketGoose. Superbus is the service where the customer will not know the operator until they select their destination, seat and date of travel. Once the payment is made they will come to know the operator. Superbus will offer its customers the luxury coaches with an affordable price.
Then TicketGoose launched a service called Outstation Taxi. It is the service where the customer can book the taxi online for travelling to various cities of India. The benefit in this service is that the customer will be paying for one-way trip and need not pay for the return trip. Usually if a customer books a cab they need to pay for the return trip. So, the fare will be less comparing with other cab aggregators.
Sportzbus is the new service introduced by ticketgoose.com to differentiate itself from its competitors. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans from Madurai, Coimbatore and Trichy will get an opportunity to watch their favourite CSK team playing in their home town. Those CSK lovers will be taken to Chennai to watch CSK matches at the stadium.
Hotels is the diversified service offering by TicketGoose because all the other services belongs to transportation and this belongs to accommodation. This service is booking hotel rooms online where customers can select their rooms according to their budget by comparing with other hotels room fares.
Thus, all these services by TicketGoose.com are introduced to retain its customers. This proves that the company is working tirelessly to meet its vision by giving diversified services to their customers.
