Murudeshwar is a well known pilgrimage and beach destination located in Bhatkal Taluk of Uttara Kannada district in Karnataka. . Murudeshwar Temple — Height of Lord Shiva is about 123 feet, it is the second largest statue of Lord Shiva. The temple was built on the Kanduka hill which is surrounded by Arabian Sea on three sides. There was a history behind building this temple and hence it was built on the belief that the site is part of the soul of Lord Shiva.
